Struggling with managing and tracking time? Drowning in a sea of piling tasks? Stressed about project deadlines?
Introducing Intervals - an online project management application that allows you to simultaneously track time and effectively manage your tasks. This is all done through one collaborative platform and enabled by in-depth reporting.
Intervals is designed for small business owners and freelancers across a number of industries. It is ideal for those who need to bill projects based on an hourly rate. Even if you don't bill per hour, Intervals still provides detailed insight into where your time, and ultimately money, is going. This allows you to prioritize tasks and streamline your time and project management.
It is a fully hosted online service, with no software to install, meaning you can be up and running in minutes. Intervals not only offers solutions for tracking time, but also for project management, task management, reporting, document storage, personalization and invoicing.
Some of intervals time tracking, task management and project management key features include automated submission and approval of weekly time sheets, task timers, milestones and daily task assignments, data capturing and archiving, drag and drop rescheduling, detailed project activity reports, along with document storage and invoicing.
The tool is excellent for cross / site, global task management, time tracking and invoicing for time billed on an hourly basis. We also sell software and had to work around some issues to reflect invoices for software sales in the system. We are really looking for request tracking, estimating and resource planning in the same intuitive, simple method as the other features. Intervals folks are fantastic at customer support.. Great rating for the features that exist!
Simple task management and time management in a great web based tools. Intuitive, not over featured which is the plague of many tools. Good reporting, fantastic customer support
We really would like a simple customer inquiry, estimating and resource planning front-end with the same simple interface, not over featured, but covering the 80% of common requests. Invoicing should have an ability to have non-labor invoices kept out from the labor reporting. Payments made on non-labor items seem to subtract from the outstanding balance report which is what is used to determine which customers have outstanding labor items to bill. This has lead to some time against customers projects to not get billed. We have worked around it in a clunky way by creating "For billing purposes only" projects. All these extra projects take from the number of active projects which drives our license cost, but is necessary to avoid missing billing for labor spent on projects

I purchased Intervals for my small business to make it easier to track and assign tasks. We previously had a system that no one (including me) used because it was not at all intuitive and was a poor fit with what we needed. I looked at a lot of other systems, including BaseCamp, Asana and a few others that are commonly recommended. Intervals was the best fit for what we were seeking.
The biggest 'pro' is that everyone (!) who works at my business uses it and finds that it is very intuitive. Everyone agrees that it makes our work easier and is a pleasure to use. It is very affordable for the features it offers and the numbers of projects/tasks that you can create ¿ a big selling point for me was that I could get everything that I needed for about $50 or so per month, without worrying about immediately outgrowing the system. Intervals is very forgiving when errors are made ¿ it warns you when you are about to leave a page without saving, for instance, but doesn't bombard you with alerts that aren't needed. It has plenty of room for saving documents and allows comments to be made in Intervals via any email address. It stood out from some other software in that it is also more customizable. Their customer service is excellent, and you can tell that they actually use the software and have thought through and learned what works and what doesn't. A fully-functional timer / timesheet system is another big plus.
Intervals introduces new features every quarter or so ¿ one of the latest is adding files through drag and drop. The lack of drag and drop used to be the biggest con for me, since I upload files often. So, no longer a con. That system could be a little more streamlined, and there are some file management features that I'd like to see improvements on (and which I've recommended to Intervals staff ¿ I love that you can do that and that they actually listen!), such as the ability to organize files into folders (each task sort of acts like a folder, so this is not a big issue in most cases ¿ sometimes we have 50 files attached to a task so we have to scroll a bit). Also, the interface design is a little less contemporary than some others. However, these are all very minor, picky issues in comparison to what you get with Intervals ¿ software that more than does its job and offers more bang for the buck than its competitors.

Not much. Some may find it more complicated than simpler tools, but that is the price to pay to enjoy a professional grade tool...

We spent 2 months researching all the available software programs and none could meet all our requirements with the exception of Intervals. This software is so simple that our entire company use sit. We set it up in a day and it was operational 2 days latter. The training was simple so all the users felt comfortable in learning it and then advancing to the more powerful features of the software. It was become the base of communication for the company and drives efficiency in reducing non value added activities.
Whenever I have a question on a feature or our data, I usually get an answer within an hour. Very fast response.
It is so simple and yet so powerful. I love the reporting and the communication updating.
Costs. Their costing model work very well for us.
Project updating. Its real time and I am always up to speed with the latest updates on the projects.
Timesheets. The method of tracking progress using timesheets is an extremely powerful tool.
I hope this software lasts forever. I cant ever image life without it.
Downloading of large data can be better but I can manage

We began using Intervals several years ago when our In-house Creative Services team outgrew the Excel Spreadsheet. We were inputing data, tracking project, etc. through Excel and then time tracking through Harvest. It was very redundant with an excessive amount of data entry for each task that came in. We were looking for a simple solution, easy input, and time tracking. Intervals had all of the feature that we needed. It's worked very well.
I like most the external request queue. I will often send emails to this as a reminder and has made tracking projects and submitting projects very easy. No complicated forms to fill out. I like the ability to run times and input data at a later date. The reports have been very helpful for performance review and project audits.
I would like it to be more adaptable to forms and collaboration with online users. It is hard to get everyone to always change statuses and track time - but I think that is a people training issue. We don't invoice so it would be nice to maybe turn off some of the functionality that we don't use. Would love to get some training or webinars on how to better use this software.

Everyone is pressed for time these days. Intervals is a web-based solution that aims to help its users find more hours in each day. The time tracking, task management, and comprehensive reporting application streamlines workflows for over-scheduled teams and keeps project budgets under control.
Intervals was built to help small business owners get their companies organized. Intervals works primarily with “micro-businesses” in the web, creative, consulting, IT service, and software industries, with impressive features designed to maximize revenue and centralize basic business processes. Among the platform’s most important tools are its time tracking, task management, project management, and visual reporting capabilities.
Just because a business is small in size doesn’t mean it doesn’t need the same access to time tracking and task management tools as its larger competitors. Intervals provides a robust platform to micro-businesses and individual departments within larger organizations.
Using a combination of time tracking, task management, reporting, and document storage features, businesses are able to more effectively meet milestones and finish projects without exceeding pre-determined budgets. The application’s detailed reporting tools also serve the valuable role of providing users with information about which of their clients are taking up the most time and which of their clients are generating the highest financial returns for their businesses.
Using integrated web-based timers, Intervals users can track how long they spend working on individual tasks and larger projects. This is useful not just for generating accurate invoices, but also for basic task management. Knowing how long you’ve spent on a task helps you determine the ROI for individual client projects and provides you with valuable information that you can use when generating estimates for similar projects in the future.
Before you start on your next task, start the timer and keep track of how many seconds, minutes, and hours you’ve been working. Although most users will find it easy to start a timer each time they begin working on a new task, Intervals offers the ability to add time manually, as well. Intervals can also take your time tracking data and import it directly into your weekly timesheets submissions.
Intervals’ project management feature enables business owners to evaluate whether their teams are being maximized and see exactly how much work was accomplished in a given week. Project management tools are also valuable for managing budgets and spending on subcontractor fees.
Click the “Projects” tab to view your Projects Dashboard. The data provided on your dashboard is represented in dynamic graphs and snapshots that are based on the data your employees have been entering into the system each day. Users can also generate detailed project activity reports.
Regardless of what type of information you’re looking for, there’s a good chance you can find it contained in your Intervals Reports. Intervals lets you choose between taking a granular or high-level approach to reporting data, with dozens of options for manipulating data to discover key business insights.
Create reports to show weekly business trends and determine which clients or projects are taking up the largest share of your time. You can also break your employees’ workdays down into billable vs non-billable hours, and save your favorite reports for one-click retrieval at any point in the future.
In a workplace that doesn’t use reliable project management tools, employees can waste hours each day searching for the documents and files they need to do their jobs. Intervals cuts down on this type of waste, allowing users to keep all types of work files stored in a centralized, secure, cloud-based environment.
Encourage your employees to upload their files and tasks to Intervals, making sure to include tags for organic classification. Among Intervals’ many useful features is version control, which enables you to keep track of the changes happening to any work document. Intervals has no file-type restrictions.
Intervals allows businesses to work on their own terms. The platform offers a number of personalization features to help users manage their work and experiences in unique ways.
Change the default colors, upload your company’s logo, and set your company’s default work type based on whether you typically bill by hours or projects. With Intervals, you can customize the solution to match your existing business processes and workflows. You can even change the currency, date/time formats, and language of the platform.
Intervals integrates with a number of third-party services, including itDuzzit, Eon, and QuickBooks. Users have the option of syncing Interval with the desktop version of QuickBooks, as well. The solution will also work on any smartphone, including iPhones.
Intervals’ flexible pricing structure is based on the amount of document storage and active projects a company has. With month-to-month subscription pricing, businesses can adjust their plans upward or downward depending on workload levels in a given month. All of Intervals’ pricing plans include unlimited users.
