CGM SCHUYLAB rationalise le flux de travail du laboratoire grâce à des interfaces sécurisées pour les analyseurs, les systèmes DME (dossier médical électronique), les logiciels de gestion de cabinet, les laboratoires de référence, etc. Le portail web CGM SCHUYNET en option offre une autre alternative pour la transmission immédiate des commandes et des résultats. Overall I am pleased with our purchase. The customer service group has been able to help with any issues over the past 2 years and always willing to do so. The follow up on issue that are not resolved immediately is great. It is not a call and forget system.
Avantages
Easy to use and train new employees. Easy to add new tests and integrate into EMR.
Inconvénients
There are some reports that I would like to customize for our lab and that was not an option.

As an LIS administrator I had the opportunity to either work and or maintain different lab information systems. Using Schuylab opened up a world of possibility. While other programs did shine in stability (it never crashed) it was a nightmare to produce the most basic statistical report.
Avantages
Ease of use. Having experience with LIS based on Concurrent DOS and Linux, working and maintaining Schuylab is such a breeze. Not difficult to use and yet very elegant, specially when you interface your Schuylab with other systems and or analyzers.
Inconvénients
Because it ease of use most users underestimate the underlying complexity. In most cases we overcomplicate a problem while the solution is not that difficult. One tip for users: follow the standards

Avantages
Nothing .
Inconvénients
EVERYTHING. System never worked a single day for a single piece of data. Excuse and delay over and over. Finally they admitted they were never fulfilling the contract.
Didnt' stop them from desperately trying to get paid for their worthless system.

I have used Schuylab for 20 years and have not complaints. I never had an interface fail and I was never down due to software failure.
Avantages
The ease of use and the cost effectiveness. Support was very good and responded to my lab's needs quickly and efficiently.
Inconvénients
I really have no negatives. It responds to all my needs and is loved by the lab inspectors.

As you've seen, we've continued to enhance and update our software over the years. In 2020 and 2021, we introduced a batch order import and a QR-code-enabled report to improve the speed and quality of service our labs provide in response to the demands of COVID-19 testing.

Avantages
The extent of the variables that were put in to the design is impressive. Knowing that many laboratory practices vary widely, Schuyler does force you to follow only one style of operation. Most of all is their willingness to be open to suggestions and to implement them as their feasability becomes apparent.
Inconvénients
Its method of dealing with critical value calls by secondary personnel.
