Use of the Term “Template” – I found the terminology around “templates” a bit confusing at first. For example, a recurring work order (commonly referred to as a “PM”) is listed as a “PM Template.” Initially, I hesitated to create one because I thought I was being asked to build a reusable framework rather than the actual PM itself. In my mind, a “PM Template” would refer to a standardized format, frequency, or instruction set used to create PMs—what this system calls “Instruction Set Templates.” > > Our organization had been using one of those big name CMMS platforms — you know the one: clunky, painfully expensive, impossible to customize without a certified “system wizard,” and riddled with error messages. The layout looked like it hadn’t been updated since Windows 98, and don’t even get me started on the lack of support. We needed something better and started our search. With keeping track of inventory within Limble, the program will automatically flag items and create a task to refill and restock the part when it does. The issue comes with the reception of parts and needing to in turn complete those tasks after the fact of the count returning to above the threshold within the system's own reception feature. If left uncompleted by mistake, then Limble will fail to generate a new task for the next time an item dips below the minimum threshold and can cause miscount issues.
