Avantages
Very useful features like sending your script to your mobile phone (where you record the video in the app and play the text as a teleprompter), adding beautiful subtitles, even creating video landing pages... That's just very briefly what the best features are. Overall it supports you in all steps of the video creation process.
Inconvénients
I haven't found a lot of cons yet. What might be interesting to add is the possibility to change the color/font of the scripts for the teleprompter. So you are reminded if you want to speak in a special way. Moreover customization is always nice to have I'd say, but it really is a good product.

The custom templates work only on desktop not on mobile.

For YEARS, I have wrestled with trying to find a product or service that would enable me to achieve the kind of results that can be expected from an expensive teleprompter setup - without the expense and lack of portability of such equipment. When I found BigVu, I felt like I did when I found my spouse. It's what I'd been looking for my whole life! (Well, at least for a LOT of years when it comes to my video creation needs).
Avantages
The ease of use, ability to upload and edit scripts on the fly, switching from desktop to mobile device usage, the speed and flexibility of features, and outstanding customer support.
Inconvénients
Not being able to have folders to sort videos in the lower level tier.

The concept is fantastic. But it's buggy. Some of the bugs can be worked around (Web app doesn't work in Chrome, use another browser, for example.) I have no problem with the workarounds. The frustrating part is they allow you to find the bugs, wasting your time, then tell you about them. "Yes, that's a known bug" is a common response. Why not be open about it and let me know before I waste my time? Why not have a list of known bugs in the documentation?
Some of the bugs can't be worked around. I'm trying to create a 15-minute walkthrough video. As the web app's broken and can't record more than 10 minutes, they want me to record two videos and stitch them together. It's a to-camera recording. Stitching it together's not going to work.
The support team respond quickly, which is great. But they aren't helpful, which is frustrating. There's no sense of understanding that the software's buggy and that all I want to do is create videos. It's very much a case of "Yes, we know it's buggy, but that's your problem."
Avantages
The ability to record videos with their teleprompter is great. Uploading and editing scripts is easy, as well as sending them to a mobile is dead easy. The support response is fast, and that's great as I'm in close contact with them trying to understand what's working and what isn't.
Inconvénients
Everything seems to break when trying to record videos. The say to use Chrome, but Chrome currently causes a problem with the camera connection. Does their support documentation tell you this? No. So I wasted time trying to resolve it. It's only after you have a problem they let you know it.
My account has the ability to record 59 minute videos. I know because I checked with support before I recorded. Turns out it's a 10 minute limit when using the web app. But does the documentation tell you that? No. Does the web app warn you? No. It allows you to record a long video, then says, "You've exceeded the file size." Did support tell me when I asked how long I could record for? No. After realizing I couldn't upload the file, I asked support if the file is stored locally so I can edit it somewhere else... no response from support so I assume the work's lost.

When I first got BigVu a few years ago I had a lot of problems with it. It would get stuck, not recognize my mic or camera. It was very frustrating. Customer support was always responsive, but unable to help at the time and couldn't really use it. But that was then. They have clearly resolved the issues. Now I use it all the time and it works like a charm. It's been a game changer for me because I really do rely on my scripts when recording.
Avantages
It enables me to create videos with the support of a script but without making it obvious that I'm relying on the script.I like how easy it is. Very short learning curve. It's very intuitive.
Inconvénients
It takes a while to for the videos to process before I can download the finished product, but I think that's true of all video processing and not just Bigvu.
