Good product though needs to add features which allow admins to disable them if required

Good overall
certainly gives us good insight into our environment - but i would add that some things are missing

Avantages

Its comprehensive and covers a broad range of technologies, certainly in terms of out environment

Inconvénients

it can become unwieldy and i would say that it requires a greater amount of time to tweak, though this is due to the comprehensive coverage of the different technology stacks
i would also say (and this is a personal gripe)
i wanted a specific metric included for HYper V. After talking to someone within EG it was mentioned that this particular feature would not be introduced due to the nature of the feature (perhaps it was due to it causing a performance hit to the EG infrastructure) i would have liked this functionality included as it was part of the Hyper V perfmon counters and would have allowed us to manage our environment better.
I would also suggest that EG should include ALL functionality and give the Admin the ability to disable (put the onus on the admin but highlight that it may not be fully supported) again a personal gripe

Great monitoring software

We are able to really stay on top of the servers on our network. Whether is an application server, RabbitMQ or DB2. eG can provide lots of insights in to the help of our servers

Avantages

The software can really dive in to give you a good feel of what is going on in your environment. Really helpful for receiving notifications for when there is a problem.

Inconvénients

There are some times that we have missed a notification here and there but support has been very helpful in figuring out what went wrong. There is so much that can be done with this software that it can become a bit overwhelming during configurations
