Inkscape est un logiciel perfectionné, gratuit grâce à la licence GPL, à l'inverse de Adobe Illustrator, et qui sait s'adapter sur les différents supports informatiques, à savoir Windows, Linux ou même MacOS.

Il possède énormément de détails qui permet un travail des plus complets sur mes différents projets artistiques, avec un avantage essentiel qui est de vectoriser les images matricielles.

Ses principaux outils d'illustration vectorielle très complètes m'offre un contrôle des plus optimal sur la finalisation de mes projets.

Un logiciel que, une fois bien pris en main, je recommande sans problème pour des personnes volontaires qui veulent approfondir leurs connaissances sur des projets graphiques.

Il est très difficile d'avoir une prise en main complète du logiciel à mes débuts car beaucoup trop de fonctionnalités à assimiler, avec la sensation de se sentir étouffer avec tout ces éléments graphique.
L'option « Aide » Inkscape nous permet de savoir plus mais sans approche approfondi. Pour ma part, j'ai du effectuer plusieurs recherche sur le net pour arriver à comprendre les différentes rubriques que nous offre le logiciel.

De plus, à force d'utiliser de plus en plus de filtre sur un projet, je remarque un lenteur du logiciel qui s'installe au fur et à mesure, et par moment il arrive à se bloquer sans qu'on s'y attende (c'est rare malgré tout mais pas agréable).

Best feature is the price it is free and yes it is a vector software.

I frequently am handed details on an upcoming event and need to turn out flyers, posters and other media for it in just a short period of time. With Inkscape I can quickly and efficiently bring together existing artwork (e.g. logos), new clipart, and create graphic elements to form a broad range of media with consistent style and content.

The one area that I would like to see improved most is handling large sections of text. As a vector art tool you can easily modify individual words and letter by warping, distorting, clipping and more. But when it comes to doing a block of text that needs to dynamically wrap around other elements on the page Inkscape is not as intuitive as it might be. This is improving with each new release and I am anxious to see what develops over the next few updates.

The ability of editing things intuitively once the tool is learned well. The options and tools offer a world of possibilities for modifying the vector paths/graphics and there is a lot of control if needed.The software is free-to-use and very capable in general, and can work with raster images and convert them into vectors if needed. Once converted or manually traced, the resulting vectors can be edited and easily modified.Inkscape is in active development and I consider that also a benefit.

The learning curve can be a bit tough in the beginning, although after getting the hang of it, the program turns into a very intuitive tool.From my knowledge, I haven't found a way to "repeat the last action", that would be a great addition if it is taken into account, as that's an important feature that helps and makes the design process quicker.The interface could be further improved and modernized, although it is not much of a problem as it is.

If on a budget Inkscape is a game-changer. For beginners it offers a great alternative to other paid graphic editor software. Its a very valuable tool to create logos and every kind of graphic design tasks from icons to full mockups of websites and pages.

One drawback to note is that the user interface of Inkscape can be confusing at times, especially for new users. It may take some time to get acquainted with the various tools and features.

What stands out most about Inkscape is that it is easy to use and that it supports various extensions and plugins, allowing the creation of new functionalities and features. For example, the program allows you to import files from other graphics programs, such as Adobe Illustrator and CorelDRAW. Furthermore, it supports a wide range of file formats including SVG, PDF, EPS, PNG, OpenDocument and many others.

I have nothing negative to say about the program, as it has always met my needs perfectly.

I love that I can create my own SVG files and I get to keep them unlike other software programs I use. I can import other designs and manipulate as I go. I can create custom files and the sky is the limit

I have trouble getting the offset to work. I am sure it is user error but I struggle with it most of the times I use it. Also, sometimes when I clip I just get a blank white box instead of what I am trying to clip. I find it struggles when using text editior to pick text while scrolling through all the options.
