Overall really happy with the product for my use. I supply sketches that they turn into 2D or 3D floorplans

Avantages

The "do it for you" service where you supply a 2d sketch and they create it for you is really great. Usually ready within 12 hours.

Inconvénients

The "do it yourself" part is a bit hard to learn, and I had a lot of trouble getting roomnames to sit in the middle of the rooms etc. A bit too complex for me so I have them do it for me.

We are able to use our floorplans and photos to send to prospective clients. It is a wonderful tool to allow them to view details about the spaces virtually. They can also experiment with different furniture displays and determine what will fit in a room without physically having to move everything around!

Avantages

RoomSketcher is a MUST for my business. I use it to make 3D floorplans to showcase apartments, houses, and commercial rental spaces. It is SO easy to use, and there are so many tools that allow you to customize down to minute details. The 3D photos are GORGEOUS and super life-like. You have so many options for angles and fields that allow you to truly capture the feel of a space.

Inconvénients

It would be nice if levels could be shared on one screen in the Live 3D walk-through, so a 2-story house can be viewed in its entirety. The ability to select multiple items at a time to move/copy would be a HUGE improvement. Currently you can only move one item at a time, so if you're trying to move an entire room full of furniture it is quite time consuming to move them one at a time.

easy to pick up, easy to use as I just need basic 2D floorplan features.

Inconvénients

Very slow when you try to save updates (99% of the time) and 50% of the time when you try to save, the program hangs (dies) - very frustrating. Have asked for support and asked why but no response.

Avantages

I like the ease of use, the ability to preview in 3D, to size and scale all items, to modify the colors and textures of items, and the realism of the 3D renders.

Inconvénients

The price :-( There are similar tools that are free; sometimes I use those instead to keep costs down. I also wish the walls in the renders didn't come out so dark while the flooring is always overly bright.

I love the program for its ease of use and ability to bring designs to life. The renderings typically come out phenomenal. I would like to have more CAD like functionality with ability to add dissensions to 2D photos for contractors/ non-client focused images that are still necessary. To be able to import new library content would be an amazing feature. I would never look elsewhere.

Avantages

Easy to use program with very little training period or trial and error.

Inconvénients

Inability to create 2D images in black & white/line drawings with dimensions. Limited content library. Especially when it comes to lettering/shapes and art.

Avantages

We use Room Sketcher daily as a tool to show realistic renderings of spaces to our clients. Helping them visualize the space to scale is such an important part of what we do.

Inconvénients

There are some features that could use some tuning. The way stairs function in the software could be improved. I would also love if you could update in a camera view- it would make placing art and decor so much easier.

Its a good software to help me layout and visualize spaces. The library of furniture items is a little bit limiting and difficult to see what the item is until you drop in the 3D. It would help to have larger pictures of the items so you don't waste time dropping items in that don't look the way you want them to.

Avantages

I use RoomSketcher to help design and plan for multi-trade instruction for apprentices. It is easy to use to help lay out and then visualize virtually for the instructor what the lab and classroom environment should look like.

Inconvénients

There are things that are specific to me that I would like to be different. There is not enough mechanical items for me to lay out the labs fully, i.e. HVAC systems, floor drains, shower drains, etc. There is also no way for me to design a stud wall without finish wall surface. Again, these are specific to my use of the software.

While creating stud walls isn't directly supported, you can utilize our building blocks as a workaround. Please note that this tutorial focuses on building blocks in general, not specifically on creating stud walls.

It is super easy to request floor plans. The floor plans are adequate quality and can include measurements.

Inconvénients

Limited customizations when ordering floor plans. They are nice, but it is always the same model of bed and furniture. Would like some options.

Our experience with RoomSketcher has been positive and the support team is fast and friendly. With RoomSketcher, we're taking our floor plans to the next level to help seniors visualize their new homes with our communities.

Avantages

Through RoomSketcher's floorplan drafting service, we're able to upload a standard apartment floorplan which their team brings to life in less than 24 hours. We're then able to edit, customize, and fully furnish the 3D design through the app. Other tools required drawing each floor plan from scratch.

Inconvénients

The ability to see 3D proofs of the renderings before using credits to initiate a rendering would be helpful for our internal review process.

Great - easy to use - easy to communicate with the company as well. When something wasn't right on my floor plans, they fixed it, and quickly.

Avantages

You can send your plans in, and within 24 hours you have them in roomsketcher. It was very easy to learn how to use and didn't take a lot of "teaching".

Inconvénients

I wish it was a bit easier to visually see the change in fabric colors on furniture pieces. (birds-eye view, not 3D)

I love the 3D view feature and the ability to see the view from several different angles. I think the 3D print version is very crisp and clear and presents well. I do like the turn around time on renderings.

Inconvénients

I have not been happy with the renderings as the cabinetry, etc seems to "off" is not stationary.

Not much experience because to use it you have to pay 120 dollars ontop of the subsription fee.

Inconvénients

Extremely Expensive. Very high monthly subsription, but even so you can not save your project unless you pay 120 US$ more (yes ontop of the 20 dollars montly subsribiton).

We send through a terrible plan, messy, sometimes barely readable, and get back a high-quality floor plan we can use in our marketing.

Inconvénients

Nothing to dislike, we have a vary rare occasion a plan doesn't work.

Very easy to use and great to have the 3D facility at any stage in the process

Would like to be able to add colour to the kitchen cabinets

Poor at best. my review is purely about principle and lack of training at this point

Avantages

My husband and I enjoyed playing with room sketcher, but only frequently use this product. After being charged $20 every month I decided to cancel this service I never use, and I asked for a refund for 1 month of zero use. There customer service [sensitive content hidden] stated that they only refund in first 30 days of subscription. But she also told me that "technically" can't give refunds as customer service. At this point I am just writing a review for shear principle that this companies customer service is poor at best, and others don"t have the same outcome.

Floorplan Recreation

Avantages

The floorplan recreator was a very useful tool. I was able to upload a rudimentary design and in return received a professionally drafted floorplan.

Inconvénients

RoomSketcher was very easy to use and any issues I had were corrected quickly by their support team.

Over all I am extremly happy with Room Sketcher I just need to take more time to watch some of the teaching videos they offer.

Avantages

The cost reasonable, the product was pretty easy to learn. The customer service is outstanding.

Inconvénients

Specifically for our industry we would like to see more outdoor products added.
Fire Tables Rectangular, Sqaure and Round. More Outdoor furniture options in Woven, Powder Coated Aluminum and Rope Designs.
