Avantages
zHealth EHR allows me to run my practice without having any front desk staff. Patients schedule appointments directly from my website, they receive automatic reminders, and they check themselves in using a tablet at the front desk. I love how I don't have to type my notes, I can just dictate.

Overall I like it, there's never going to be the perfect EHR system but this one has a lot of features that are easy to use.

User friendly, easy to learn, many features such as credit card payment, text reminders, messaging, and billing included
Inconvénients
I wish I could modify my SOAP notes more, the system can be slow at times but I know they are working on that, and the clearing house they work with is tricky and slow.

Zhealth's EHR Customer service has been the worst that I have experienced as a practitioner for over 52 years. The sales team lies to sell you on the product and fails to deliver. The Customer Service Rep/ Manager has no consideration or regard for the client's needs and has been full of excuses. It has been extremely exhausting and challenging to work with Zhealth and the customer service ... For example, they failed to provide acupuncture templates for 6 - 8 months, and we were stuck using chiropractic templates. The billing and scheduling systems have glitches ... customer service team is slow to resolve issues or never addresses them. I encourage you to save your time and money and find a better company to partner with... these guys are a sham and a scam! We recently integrated with Jane EHR and the experience has been wonderful. A much better platform and Jane's customer service is solution oriented with a smile.

Great tool to use in our office

Avantages
When we came on board with Zhealth a little over a year ago we had zoom meetings with our customer success specialist. I was given his cell phone number so I always have had a direct contact with ZHealth instead of being sent into some call center queue. When the representative we had took another job he gave his the name and phone number of our new rep. I would say there are 2 parts of the software I really like 1 is the reports feature, my chiropractic assistant does the billing for our office and she also tracks how many patient visits we have had each month. We have been doing this for 4 years and this software makes it very easy for her to access those numbers. The second feature that I really like is that my patients can be on their lunch break and schedule a same day appointment for later that day.
Inconvénients
When I use the last visit report and put a date range in it will give me every visit that patient had during that range. I would like this to be a true last visit so I can tell when someone has not been to my office for an extended period of time, so that I can reach out to them.

With a great EMR system and easy of scheduling I appreciate zHealth as well as the cost for a solo doctor. I like that the system has the ability to expand without crazy increase in costs.
Avantages
Very easy to navigate inside the program. Easy to input new patients and send billing invoices or payments.
Inconvénients
Not a fan of the integrated payment software.

Terrible experience. Trying to switch to this product was a disaster and they don't care. I would never recommend this company. In my 23 years in practice I have been primarily with two companies prior to trying ZHealth. Timely support was lacking with Zhealth. They seem to be short staffed as they can't get anything done in a reasonable time frame, and because you can't customize yourself, you are sunk. Customizations were promised but non-existent. Once they get your money they neglect your needs as a client, because you have pre-paid and stuck in a contract.Read the other bad reviews. From my experience I believe they are accurate. I would not do business with this company. They did not care about me as a client.One time during a demo , on a shared screen I saw the salesman log into another client Doctors office without his knowledge. I asked about this, and how if I signed up with Zhealth that they would not access my site without my knowledge or consent each time they entered my site. Seeing this made me uneasy about office and patient privacy and confidentiality.After being with this company for 8-9 weeks I did not feel I could rely on them or trust them long term as I could not believe how poorly they supported their clients.
Avantages
Nothing. They promise to fully customize the software SOAP notes and the patient digital intake was the enticing sales pitch. Then after you sign the contract and pay for a year up front you find out they don't really care if you are ever able to launch the software for your office, or get your customizations done in a timely manner. You end up paying for software that you can not use.
Inconvénients
Do not sign the contract with this company.You can not customize this software yourself. You are fully dependent on the development team whom you can not contact directly. You have to go through support which involves opening a ticket. Then they tell you everything is on hold and they don't seem to have enough staff to get your work done. Customization's can take up to or possibly beyond six months to complete. The stock templates are terrible.If you leave Zhealth after a period of time you have no long term access to your previous patient notes and records in the system unless you agree to pay them $40 per month forever to access those records.

Avantages
Our main initial driver was getting a software that allowed online scheduling. We chose zHealth for that and I like that I can complete my notes from anywhere and that I can see my schedule from my phone. Our biller can work remotely, so that helped me keep my biller who has worked for us for almost 20 years.
Inconvénients
Switching softwares is never easy, but it was worth it to get rid of our previous server-based software. I realized there was no way forward for our previous software. I wanted a company who would keep up with technology modernization and zHealth has been consistently adding new options over the past 2 years.

Since I'm a solo practitioner I needed an EHR software that would be able to handle much of the tasks that would normally require a front desk office staff member, such as patient scheduling and office check-in procedures. It's been very helpful that patients can schedule themselves online, through a link on my website, and can check themselves in as well once they arrive at my office. It's also been great to be able to log into the software from anywhere, using a tablet or even my phone, to check my patient schedule etc. whenever I need to be out of the office during office hours.
I would say overall one of the best things about the software for me has been the ability to use it from anywhere and from any device and that doing so is relatively smooth. Since the software is straightforward and streamlined and doesn't have too much bloated and unnecessary features, it runs quite fast and you wouldn't even know that it was on online web-based system due to how quickly the pages load, as long as you have a decent internet connection.
Avantages
The software is quite intuitive and easy to use if you have a decent grasp of general computing and how to navigate menus. In fact there was no training included at all when I first began using the system, because it isn't really needed as long as you are a little computer-savvy.
The software has built-in patient online self scheduling which automatically populates and syncs with the patient schedule on my end, as well as the option to have the patient self check-in on a tablet when they arrive at my office, both very useful features since I'm a solo practitioner. I also like the ability to check my patient schedule from anywhere using my phone, since the system is web-based and syncs across all the devices I use to access it, whether I'm at the office, at home, or out and about.
There are a good amount of options, clickable boxes, and pulldown menus to help streamline the note-taking process. The SOAP note sections by default have clickable fields that cover most of the musculoskeletal type issues that a patient may be experiencing as well as text boxes to type your own detailed notes as needed. I have not yet made use of the dictation feature so I cannot speak to how accurate that is. You also have the option to copy forward sections of a previous note into a new note, as applicable and warranted, and create custom templates for routinely used sections.
Also the customer support has been quite helpful and quick to act whenever I did have issues with the software.
Inconvénients
Some features are not easily customizable on the fly but may possibly be updated per your needs by contacting the support team and requesting changes be made. There were also initially some bugs and glitches in the software when I first began using it, but many of these have been addressed through updates and contacting the support staff, who have generally been quite responsive and helpful.

Based on my understanding at the time I was reviewing all these software products, ChiroTouch seemed like it was somewhat more convoluted than I needed, more expensive, and not cloud based so I would only be able to access the software from my office. Avantages
The zHealth on-line software makes running an office very simple and straight forward. From scheduling, to check in, chart notes, collection and billing, all runs efficiently. If I am out off the office and need to check something on a patient's chart I can pull it up on my phone.
Inconvénients
Because the chart notes need to be personalized for your industry and your practice, setting up the software is challenging. You cannot make changes to the wording or add phrases as your needs change. It would be great if you could make the changes you need without having to have someone at the company do it.

Over all we have little to none complaints about the software. Once we were comfortable using this platform we have saved a lot of time for our everyday task work.
Avantages
To begin the software is very user friendly and has a great interface. The favorite feature from our office is the era payments for the patients DOS. It saves our office a ton of time inputing payments in ourselves. Importing all of our patient demographics was a breeze on our team. Once I was able to send the customer service team our CSV file it was uploaded in the new software within 48hrs.
Inconvénients
One thing thing we can improve about this software would be the ability to consolidate the amount of files when combining the notes. We are mainly a personal injury practice and when sending between 20-25 visits to attorneys the amount of pages it takes to summarize a visit can sometimes be too big of a file to email.

Avantages
I love that a lot of my notes are automated with check marks and drop downs. The software easily puts together a narrative even if you have to type some of your elevation into your notes.
Inconvénients
What I like least about this software is that it doesn't have a time stamp and that they do not offer medical documentation/HIPPA compliance officers to make sure all note taking is being done properly.

Causing more problems requires me to keep paper notes, paper ledger, and separate scheduling and payment methods. The breaking point was tonight when the site was down because they didn’t renew the SSL certification. How? They get 30/60/90 day reminders. And when i asked they just respond rudely.
Avantages
The initial setup and records setup was promising.
Inconvénients
The system is slow and often down. If have issues have to email support. They run long queries during business hours making it virtually impossible to use. I now have to use a separate schedule because its down or not working more often than not. The bank for processing payments is piss poor so we can’t even use it. There is no patient ledger- only way is to go to each DOS to see where to add payment etc. The system is slow and customer service is awful.

Avantages
After searching high and low for an EHR that fit my practice, I stumbled upon zHealth. I was sold after out demo call. Its affordable, user friendly, and simple. It also gives the option to have membership based practice, which I could not find anywhere else for such a great value/price. Customer support is the best I've seen anywhere.
Inconvénients
For future versions, I would suggest family profiles and the ability to use one credit card for an entire family on memberships.

Onboarding was easy - - over the past year they continue to evolve and improve with additional support options. Our customer service rep was, and is, outstanding. Any issues or concerns we had were addressed quickly. This company is growing and has listened to their users which is evident by updates and added features. IMO it is a great investment in your office, and if you like what you see, it will only be getting better and better. The text reminders alone have paid for the product multiple times over by drastically reducing cancelations and no shows.
Avantages
Automatic text reminders have dramatically decreased cancel and no show rates. This has improved services and decreased frustration for our office. Visual layout is clean and intuitive. The integrated dictation is a really great feature. Customization options allow you to have your documentation flow very naturally. Patients can fill out intake forms online which simplifies the new patient time in the office while also improving documentation. Cloud based allows access anywhere and from multiple devices. Its a great feature for documentation, billing and to check the schedule when away from the office. Staff loves it. Customer support has been excellent.
Inconvénients
I didn't switch sooner. We had "disconnected" procedures, and duplicate work in the past from other software product(s). zHealthEHR has greatly improved our efficiency and allowed us to feel "up to date" now with options and features that our older software did not provide.

I was very resistant to listening to a "sales pitch", but am very glad the representative was able to get through to me. He said the platform was made for doctors like me in mind. That is, without a doubt, true. I brag to my patients often of how happy I am with ZHealth.

I don't have time to sit through training, this software was easy enough that I could start up and get most things done without watching the videos or reading the help section. I do recommend people take that time though. I can get what. I need from the very clear help instructions, usually, within 3 minutes. I have had to email the tech and they responded within 24 hours
Inconvénients
I think I need to find another template; I haven't taken the time to do that yet. The SOAP notes and exam notes don't have as many options as I need. So, I end up typing it in into the dialogue boxes.

If I was ONLY cash based this wouldn't be too bad, but I still don't think it's ALL IN ONE, you will have to keep track of things outside of the software, so it's NOT all in one.
Avantages
Customer service was decent to get set up, then to help with claims that were getting rejected to iron out the details, check in and check out was great, which is the main reason I signed up with Zhealth.
Inconvénients
Once I got into it I realized there is no way to track if I have billed a patient their balance, if a claim was sent and when (printed claims- primary or secondary), it was always telling me to send claims when I KNOW I had already sent those, so they either had to get sent 3-4 times to clear the system, or I had to keep paper notes of ones I sent. By the time I quit using Zhealth I had 5 paper lists of things I had to keep track of. It was so much more work than I previously had which had initially prompted a change.
I also hated the statement. It's no joke a page and a half to collect one $10 copay. Super embarrassing and patients don't understand it.
Also they won't let you out of your contract after you realize it doesn't work. I paid $300 to start (never got custom notes done because I didn't get that far... which is what they say the $300 is for) and now I am still paying monthly fees and I'm not using it anymore. I even gave them notice to stop billing but they won't stop because of the contract. I wish I had taken the bad reviews more seriously. Use something else.

Awesome EHR system

Avantages
Billing claims are so easy with this system. Entering payments are quick and painless. Everything is so organized and efficient.
Inconvénients
Patient's sometimes get confused about the way their bill is laid out, but that's probably because everyone does it differently.

Great choice for our small business!

Avantages
This is a great company that provides a great product that is constantly evolving for the better. The developers take into consideration your recommendations and it is fairly easy to adopt.
Inconvénients
As with any software company there’s a bit of a learning curve but it is normal with any change. In the beginning it took a long time to enter notes but once I got used to the interface it became quite a time saver.

I have been using this zHealth for over 3 years and really enjoy how functional it is. I'm very thankful that I made the switch to using them.
Avantages
I love that this software is customizable. My SOAP notes and intake paperwork are specific to my practice which has made charting so much easier and faster.
Inconvénients
I've had difficulty getting secondary insurance billing to process properly.

Can take a minute to get things sorted as I want them. Sometimes change tickets take a bit long.
