As a small nonprofit, the price is unbeatable. The system is robust and takes care of every aspect of gala management that we need.

Avantages

I have been using Auctria since the days it was called Charity Auction Organizer. It handles every aspect of running a gala event that we need: ticket sales, seating, items to purchase (outside the auction items), donations, silent and live auction items, online catalog and bidding, and invoicing. Just a dream from start to finish. We purchase the Silver edition, and it more than pays for itself. I find Auctria.com to be far and above any other online auction/gala systems I've researched.

Inconvénients

I wish Auctria.com were part of my existing donor database software features, but alas it is not. But there really isn't an affordable solution that acts as an all-in-one system.

I am a trustee at Tin Mountain who will be terming out next month. As described in other comments, i was on the early committees to get Auctria rolling some years back, and then moved on to other committee work. My recent experience is as a bidder/ end user. I am in the IT world so I didn't have any specific issues. My overall experience is it is all a bit clunky, and I helped several older folks navigate through it. This could all be how we at TM have it set up - maybe we could do better.

Avantages

Ultimately it is effective and gets the job done.

Inconvénients

While the system is effective, the interface feels dated and could modernizing. Part of that may be how our folks have it set up.

So very sad to read this review Valerie. We do have lots of educational materials in the form a User Guide and webinars, video tutorials. In addition there are simple instructions that can be added to the event website so the guests have more info.

Auctria is easy to use, our nonprofit group has used the online program for a few auctions and the new feature of picking a raffle winner in the platform made our event even easier

Editing auction items once bulk imported is tedious.

Outstanding. We started using Auctria pre-pandemic to manage a live annual fundraising auction for our fly fishing club. The last time we did that, we cleared a bit more than $10,000 with $4,000 in expenses. Throughout and after the pandemic w've used an online auction. This year we cleared a bit more than $9,000 with only $600 in costs, and half of that was for the Auctria subscription. Moreover, the work involved was only about a quarter as much as was required for our old live auctions.
Auctria has been fantastic for us.

Avantages

It's very efficient and quite powerful.
Overall it's one of best pieces of software I've ever used.
Customer service is outstanding.

Inconvénients

1. Interface for auction website construction is clunky and needs a makeover.
2. Having too much help information is almost as bad as having not enough. As a result, I tend to go directly to help by chat rather than looking through several help documents looking for the right information. I know it's in there somewhere....
3. This really isn't a complaint about the software, only an observation: When you use a complex thing (like Auctria) only once a year, it's hard to get good at it.

re: single use, many orgs use Auctria year round for smaller events, tickets, raffles etc. Hope you may do so too, taking advantage of the annual license.

Avantages

It's ease of use. The quality is great, and the tutorials make it easy and fun to create an Auction. The online help is fantastic. And you have spell check.

Inconvénients

For the New Hampshire Orchid society it covers all the bases. It is a comprehensive software product with limitless possibilities. This product works for small and large auctions alike with the same attention to detail.

We have been using Auctria since we had to do a lightning-fast switch to a virtual auction at the beginning of the COVID lockdown in 2020. Since then, we have used Auctria for half a dozen events and have been pleased with how much it offers for the cost. Auctria has helped us raise over $500,000 in the past four years.

Avantages

For the price, Auctria is filled to the brim with functionality that would pay double or triple for. It has everything you would need to host a successful event and keep track of all of your financials and patrons at the same time.

Inconvénients

Any software has limitations. Integration with an email provider such as Constant Contact or MailChimp would be great. Auctria has its fair share of bugs and quirks, but if you do your research ahead of time before your event, you can find workarounds for many issues.

Avantages

Pretty user friendly, can be used even if not using the online auction feature, tracks items, bidders and finances well, integrates nicely with website.

Inconvénients

We seem to have trouble each year with getting bid #'s assigned properly. Some bidders end up with 2 bid #'s due to registration issues. Would love for an easier way to assign the same bid # to couples who would like to share a bid #.

It could be a variety of things such as unloaded or copied bidder record and then they register themselves. We did recently change ticket sales to be much more detailed when purchasing multiple tickets, asking the buyer if they want the guests/bidder to be linked.

Avantages

The user-facing auction website made bidding easy and looked great.

Inconvénients

The back-end management site didn’t feel intuitive to me and took a while to figure out. However, it was fairly easy to use and full of functionality once I figured it out.

Auctria - A very happy customer

Avantages

Hard to list just one thing. We a small NPO that survives on its volunteers. In fact, I am a volunteer. I am the only person responsible for the setup and admin of our Auctria events. I am a bit of a tech geek and i actually enjoy working with this product. Very well designed, support is almost instantaneous, and enhancements and new features are always being added. Considering the pricing this is quite a bargain.

Inconvénients

Humm... honestly can't think of any. There is more functionality here then I have time to absorb. That being said it what I need is easy to learn and works well.

Robust and clear setupFlexibility of the platform to do pretty much anything we needed I think people bid more because they got notified when they were outbidDiscoverability of items that don't have bids and the ability to track what you've bid onReporting was great for checkout (we used Outstanding Accounts report in Bidders and Winning Bid Details)Ability to add live auction items to bidder's basket so they only had one charge

Inconvénients

The onboarding process felt like it frustrated some people with how many steps it took. The checkout process. It's clunky and not obvious and the killer is where people want to pay but then get hung up on where you have to AGAIN agree to terms of use. The credit card input screen is bad (needs to be turned to landscape to even enter information)The confusion about being logged in but not registered, then needing to confirm emailBidders needed to go to the "Home" screen to update their basket/totals. This was especially true for live auction winners.

re: onboarding- many orgs will pick up a 20-minute Assist Call, the specialist can fly through lots of q+a's and help with some set-up. In addition, we will be offering some new group sessions, hope that helps in the future.

Excellent. I found that, overall, I was able to navigate most of it myself, and that which I could not I was able to get help with.

Avantages

I like that fact that if you have a question, or a problem, they are on top of it! Generally, it took no more than a few minutes to get a question answered, and I had a couple of times I was freaking out and they assured me and got it fixed within minutes. I am not the most computer savvy, but they were there to help me when i needed it.

Inconvénients

Bidding can be confusing for a husband and wife (or couple) if they are trying to get two seats to an event like a dinner. It's not confusing to me, but that is what I get the most requests for help about.

Auctria is very intuitive and easy to learn. The trainings provided were also very good, and brought people up to speed quickly.

Inconvénients

Some of the reporting was incomplete, and did not give enough options.

Really enjoyed the quick responses from the customer service team! They took time to help, and were always available.

Inconvénients

I think there are some things that aren't as intuitive (specific columns for reports weren't obviously accessible), but I think its a good tool to utilize! I also think the donor and winning bidder documents could be more explicit.

Our annual auction has always involved 100s upon 100s of volunteer hours. It was becoming increasingly difficult to get volunteers to put in the time. Auctria solved that problem for us, reducing our volunteer time by at least 85%. We were also affected by people's hesitancy to do anything "in person" following the pandemic. Being able to have the auction totally online with a wonderful website solved that problem. We sold out almost every event we offered. That has never happened before. My overall experience with Auctria was fantastic. The staff are very personable and know their product. They went out of their way to accommodate our schedules for meetings and we always received prompt answers to our questions. They were available to help with setting everything up and had great suggestions for marketing our auction items. At the beginning, we watched a lot of the online videos about how to set up an auction and how to use Auctria. That content was very helpful.To any person or organization looking for software to run an auction or fundraiser, I say, "Look no further. Auctria is the BEST."

Avantages

We used Auctria to conduct our auction completely on line. In a few short weeks, we progressed from creating a paper and pdf catalog, setting up tables with silent auction sheets, and calculating everything by hand (winners, invoices, etc.) to doing everything on line. Our annual auction is a 40 year tradition that was put on hold during the pandemic. We were all worried about how to bring it back, and whether or not moving to an online platform would negatively impact participation and profits. It did not. Our experience was wonderful.We purchased the Emerald Plan and it was worth every penny. The staff support was fantastic and they have continued to be available to us since the auction closed. With their guidance, we have been able to offer all unsold items via the website in an "After Event Sale."To my knowledge, Auctria has been 100% accurate in billing, processing payments, tracking bids, and in absolutely every other facet of our auction.Also, the website created for our event was beautiful and I'm sure it contributed greatly to our success.

Inconvénients

I think Auctria could improve the ease at which one can find topics in their Help menu. Finding the answers to specific questions wasn't always easy, and the search tool was not specific enough. That said, I found that using CHAT feature or emailing the concierge typically got a same day and often immediate answer to my questions.Our bidders were confused by the notifications when they were outbid. It was challenging to understand how to get back in the running if you were trying to buy two separate seats at a dinner and you were outbid for one of them. (You had to outbid yourself, and then bid again for the second seat.) There isn't a tab in the menu for "show me items that have sold." This would be helpful.

Love Auctria!

Avantages

I think that the customer service given to us was the #1 feature of Auctria! Any question I ever had was quickly handled and we were walked through well. It was user friendly for both us and the people using it to bid, etc.

Inconvénients

I came in after the fundraiser had began and I would have loved a quick, efficient but comprehensive training for the overall use. I felt like most items you had to do separate trainings in order to do each thing.

It was so easy to use, to experiment with, to fix things that didn't look right. The ability to register not only bidders but also donors AND cash donors at the end, reporting options. This was an amazing app, well worth the money!

Inconvénients

Some of the reports were a little clunky or didn't give us the information we were looking for.

We used Auctria for a school silent auction of 160 items with approximately 60 bidders netting over $20k profits.

Avantages

Platform is intuitive, easy to use for listing auction items with photos / videos, creating displays, ticketing event / managing attendees, real-time app bidding, text messaging and emails to bidders, invoicing and payment processing. Auctria reference and help desk very responsive within one hour typically. Bidder participants were able to easily understand and feel comfortable entering bids into the app the same night of the auction.

Inconvénients

Opt-out options for credit card storage.

Avantages

Auctria launch has been a tremendous tool! It streamlines the data entry for numerous parts of auctions and Auctria's staff support is very knowledgeable quick to respond to questions. There is a lot of moving parts, and that can feel overwhelming but again, being able to quickly get support makes it successful.

Inconvénients

Calculating the starting bid, increments, etc on each item. It would be amazing if there was a formula that did this for you from the value that you set with an option to override. It's really not a problem, but might be a helpful add on.

FYI re: calculating bide increments etc you can set that up under Pricing Policy. Set the starting bid as a % of the item's value,
Set the bid increment as a % of the item's value, Set the buy-it-now price as a % of the item's value. Your Launch coordinator can help if this is your current event.

Avantages

Auctria is a top-tier nonprofit auction management solution. It is very user friendly, and has many capabilities that greatly benefit the nonprofit and user experience. I have also had the chance to work with and learn from their team about fundraising tips they recommend for nonprofits and their insights are useful and can be practically implemented. Auctria is the way to go!

Inconvénients

I have not worked with many other auction softwares so I am unaware of the cons the platform may have in comparison to others.

Adding and creating the tickets and items was a bit confusing but our problems were resolved when we contacted Auctria tech support.

Avantages

The design and how user friendly it is.

Inconvénients

Adding the items vs. tickets is a bit confusing when our offerings did not fit that exact model. This was resolved through consultation with the Auctria team, though.

Avantages

Accessibility to auction details, easy to add information to existing auction items.

Inconvénients

A little time consuming trying to navigate through different tabs. There might be a help section but I fumbled my way through it.

Thanks for leaving a review , Heather. Good news, YES there is a full online User Guide with 100+ pages. Each section contains screen shots and lots have videos. as well There are walk throughs in there too to get you up and running fast.
