The time saved with the OneCause product is really like having extra employees/volunteers. Can't imagine doing it without them.

Avantages

The software did everything we needed it to and more - from selling tickets and foursomes to silent auction and day-of fixed price items...simple to implement and a nice customer facing mobile app. But what really makes the product different is the incredible support you get from their team. Regular check-in's and calls - by the time our event rolled around, they knew more about it than I did. Although it was my first year running the multi-day events, I felt extremely comfortable and confident due to the support I received from OneCause.

Inconvénients

I have only one complaint, and that is that there's not great-looking templates for the landing pages, and when we built our own, it was kind of a process in that it has to be stored on a website rather than uploading to OneCause. I believe they're working on improving that.

Our event coordinator at the Gala was very supportive and training our students well so that they were able to help our guests sign in, purchase and bid.

Avantages

The simplicity of purchasing tickets/items on line and actually bidding at our Gala.

Inconvénients

The length of time having to spend on a conference all with our event coordinator. We have been doing charitable events for 7 years with OneCause and clearly understand our rolls. All we really need is a quick review

Website is too cumbersome to do for an event. there should be an option for a donate page to purchase tickets and then a link to the auction items. I would like more exports to be offered, see answer above.

Avantages

The back end where you could put in the auction items and didn't have to put them in a spreadsheet. I did put the supporters in a spreadsheet with table and bid numbers and that was easily done.

Inconvénients

I think there should be a separated place for items/donors and supporters. I had trouble getting the export that I needed to do my thank you letters. The donor thank you offered had a document that wasn't able to edit the margins in order to use my letterhead. I was not able to get one export that had company name, name, description, address, value. I am not sure why this basic export was not available. I called and the person was unable to help me. I took two exports and had to merge them.

Streamlined, user friendly, and the support team was very helpful, especially [sensitive content hidden], our on-site event manager. She was wonderful. OneCause truly helped us save time, resources and maximize giving at our event, along with offering our guests a professional and forwarding thinking giving experience.

Avantages

We used OneCause primarily as an auction management software. Our team loved how streamlined it made the bidding process, the close out process, and collecting payment. We are looking forward to next year's event now that our guests' information is already entered into OneCause because the check in process will be quick and easy, and we've learned a few things about how the software works best for us.

Inconvénients

We are dismayed there is no way to share links to each individual auction item. We like to feature lots in our eblasts before our event, but it was frustrating only be able to share the link to the OneCause auction homepage rather than individual lots.

We can use graphics to make this website look very high-end, but we don't have to be super tech savvy.

Inconvénients

The CRM side is clunky and take multiple steps to complete tasks.

Avantages

I don't have to handle any money. We can accept cash and checks but this makes the CC purchases on the buyer.

Inconvénients

There needs to be a cart function where people can select all the items, remove some items and then process their payment.

Our auctions immediately saw higher amounts being spent/donated because of user access and ease of use. The customer service is incredible and everyone I have spoke with is knowledgable and very helpful!

Avantages

I love that I can see past events to reference what we did in prior years. I also like the reports that are available.

Inconvénients

Custom pages. For a rookie, I find it cumbersome to add designs and links.

Makes Event Management easy

Avantages

Very intuitive platform once you get accustomed to it. Tons of tools and resources to help along the way.

Inconvénients

There are some features that aren't coded into the platform that I think could enhance the experience, such as the ability to upload documents as a requirement for pre-registration.

There is a small learning curve for people new to the software, but the customer service team is always ready to help.

Avantages

The customer service is incredible. Any time I had an issue, it was easy to get someone to help. If they could not find the answer to my question, they were quick to find an answer and respond. It was extremely easy to use and get my auction items in the system.

Inconvénients

I did not like the method that I had to use to input the tables. I also wish they had a way to email item donors a thank you note.

Avantages

I have been thrilled with the customer service provided by OneCause. Anytime I have had a question, the person helping me via the chat feature was quick and had great answers. If they did not know the answer, they have always been wonderful about asking management for clarification. Love love love my customer success manager [sensitive content hidden]!

Inconvénients

I would like to be able to tailor and tweak the reports a little more. We moved over from Greater Giving and while OneCause has been worlds easier to use, the reporting options are definitely subpar in comparison.

The inability to duplicate prior year's events without much effort. That you cannot upload multiple pictures for silent auction items.

We did lots of research on event/auction software before purchasing OneCause, and we found that, despite its limitations, OneCause has more functionality and flexibility than other software options. We also appreciated that we could call the OneCause support team when we needed help.

Avantages

The software allows you to customize your website according to the organization's needs. It is pretty simple to process transactions, refunds, etc., when needed. OneCause also creates a database of supporters as info is being submitted, which is very helpful.

Inconvénients

Users' login and functionality were confusing for many. We didn't like how we couldn't offer sponsorships and underwriting gifts on separate tabs on the site... The sponsorships were easily "lost" within the Auction tab, and the underwriting gifts were easily "lost" within the Tickets tab. Also, it should have been easier/less clunky for users to establish one (and only one) login and then revisit their event and guests' details to make modifications.

We are in our 2nd 3-years contract with OneCause and have been more than satisfied for all of our events managed through BidPal. The customer service has been excellent, we have had no complaints from our supporters, and we continue to increase the dollars raised through our auction.

Avantages

We selected OneCause for its BidPal service, and the high quality it provides in running online auctions. It allows attendees to easily track their bids, manage their payments, and saves valuable staff time while increasing the dollars raised at our annual event. The bidding site is customizable to your organization, and is mostly user friendly.

Inconvénients

While building the bidding site, some features are a little out of date, such as uploading/embedding photos and video.

I LOVE their customer service. It is by far the best support I have ever received from an online company. There is never a long wait time when I call, they are always patient, friendly, and helpful. I get the answer I need to assure our fundraising and auction runs smooth.

My experience has been great over the four events in which the software has been used. I feel it simplifies the entire fundraising process and allows us to make more money to support our non-profit!

Avantages

The support for OneCause is it's strongest feature in my opinion. There are tutorials and step-by-step guides on the product and event management. There are also assigned event and success managers that partner with you and guide you from the planning and execution stages to the actual event. Our organization has had a OneCause event manager on site the evening of the event, which is valuable to ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Inconvénients

I do wish there were some more easily customizable options in the giving center for those that are not skilled in HTML and coding.

Avantages

Managed our silent auctions solidly for three years. Supporter communication (particularly mass texting) is great. Customer Support is excellent.

Inconvénients

Could use a bit more polish, particularly with scoreboards and auction displays. Set-up isn't the most intuitive, but the knowledgebase is robust.

Avantages

Working with OneCause is such an asset. Planning events and fundraising there are a lot of moving parts, things that need to be tracked and audits to run. This puts everything in one place.

One Cause's greatest asset is their people. The One Cause personnel is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure working with every OneCause representative that I encountered.

Avantages

Software is easy to use and the tutorials are very helpful. OneCause has a complete suite of tools to make event management and fundraising a breeze.

Inconvénients

I wish it offered the user the ability to be more visual. I wish that One Cause offered an online market that anyone could utilize to bid on auction prizes or to show their generosity and support.

Couldn't have lived without it, but there are some improvements to be made. I felt as though I constantly had to call to ask questions. It would be nice if we (users) were given a better overall tutorial of the platform - start to finish.

Avantages

The auction items are able to be previewed prior to the event date which is most helpful. Allowing those who can't make it to the event itself the opportunity to participate! Therefore reaching a wider net than the traditional auction setup allows.

Inconvénients

There isn't an app. Guests were really flustered by the website. They wanted something extremely user-friendly. Most of our participants are older and don't know how to navigate the website.
