I like that it is able to be edited for the specific needs of a practice. It is not set in stone, but rather very flexible.

It took a while to get used to the functions, but with the help of customer service, I understood quickly.

There are too many different ways to complete a task. And there are too many buttons to complete one task

I use this software at work to access patients charts, send messages to other healthcare team members, and to document. Charting is very easy, software flows well. There are lots of shortcuts that make work faster. Pages can be customized to make everyone’s work more efficient and personalized. Search buttons within patients charts are also very useful when learning more about their medical and medication history. This software makes patients’ chart very well organized, easy to find all the necessary information, easy to look up and updated patients’ information such as pharmacy, medications, allergies.

Frequent software updates are often times less useful and more confusing than previous version, takes some time to learn and get used to it. In some cases support team needs to be contacted to reverse or modify new updates for software to be more user friendly. Occasionally there are problems with the serve, errors when logging in, which are addressed by support team in a timely matter.

Everyone could use it to serve the patient the best, from in house staff registering and obtain images of id's or insurance information, to providers to document patient's care and keep reports, to billing departments for insurance verification or printing medical reports. It was a 1 stop shop for medical purposes.

Training was non me, i learned everything on my own. But that could of been a company decision and not a software issue.

THe amount of detail available to input and view. All caregivers use the same system and so that information is visible in the same system. I love seeing when PT has walked my patients and how they did if I can't track done the PT, or how a respiratory treatment has gone. This is so helpful in keeping up to date on how all caregivers are viewing the patient, when a one on one visit is not feasible.

IT takes a while to pick up all the skills needed to use it and adjust to the format, but only because it has so much functionality. So that's natural.

This program, for the most part is easy to navigate. The layout is fairly simple to follow. I am usually able to accomplish what I need in a days work without worrying about the system booting me out or freezing up.

I don't like that there are several different ways to do one task. This can make training new hires very difficult and easily confused.

This software allows user to easily switch between patient types in the electronic health record and carries over information from other softwares easily.

The functionality of this software experiences downtime occasionally.

Cerner powerchart is an easy to use system. It is very easy to use and has multiple ways to chart on the same topic- making it very user friendly

There are many areas of powerchart that are very repetitive and make you chart the same thing multiple times. Med Recs can also be confusing for beginners using this system.

I think that powerchart has many great options however does not quite extend as far as other competitors that i have used. It has flowsheets and ease of use. There are many aspects of easy charting that can come in handy. The flowsheets are easy to navigate and easy to maneuver through.

I think that there are many aspects of double charting that need to be fixed. Some of the functions of it can be clunky.

When you 1st start off with Cerner they send you their A team but after that you should expect almost no support as that team in Bangalore has minimal training and seems to be stretched so thin that they only respond on one day a week, then they pass your ticket from one team to another. If you complain they seem to slow the process more

Non existent support. Example: opened a ticket for the addition of the new COVID boosters. We had the product but for them to add the product to the system they need to wait for their drug data suppler (MULTUM) to add it to their dictionary. That happened last month. I had to prod them since I could wee the product on the hospital side. Now I needed the careset to be created (an order set that takes care of the documentation and billing). I’m still waiting more 2 months since we got the vaccine

I like that I can easily find the information I am looking for in the system.

I do not care for the several different logins to get into the system. Unless you are at the facility, you have to go through a 3-4 step login process.

PowerChart is a comprehensive electronic medical record powered through Cerner. Results and notes can be seen immediately after being posted and is available to all caregivers that have legitimate access.

It is sometimes difficult to navigate the software. I think the tabs and notes can be better organized for ease of use.

I liked how user friendly this software was. At the time i worked with people who ranged from all ages and everyone seemed to be able to work this fairly easy.

At times it could be pretty glitchy. And the updates drove us kind of crazy in the pharmacy. But that comes with the territory.

Cerner is a good EMR program with the basic features of patient appointments, documentation, outside records, lab results, etc.

Cerner is not as user-friendly as EPIC's EMR. It takes about a month of daily use to get the hang of where different files and information are located in the patient chart. I wish its search feature could search more in-depth within the patient chart like EPIC does.

They did pioneer some of the first things in EMARs

Not well organized, user friendly, or fast. I found it to be very difficult to use.

Cerner was a big step up from where our organization was prior. After the initial learning phase, Cerner provided a clean, modern, easy to navigate software for a hospital of over 2000 employees. There were many different ways to get a task done in Cerner which was helpful across the board for different learning styles.

Within the first six months of use, it seemed like there more system crashes than there should have been. This put many departments behind and made things difficult.

Fairly easy to use and navigate. Does not have a lot of extra functions that you get lost in when trying to search for specific information in a profile.

Some basic features, such as charting, could be updated to be more user friendly and shareable to other health professionals using the software.

I used to use Power chart daily for my emr. It was okay. It wasn’t as user friendly as I would want. Too many clicks were involved.

This software is very basic for charting/documenting clients information.

This software does not have many features while charting/documenting.

I like that they tried to make viewing patient system information more integrated but they missed the mark. Confusing to use and seems like they spent too much energy making it more confusing than simpler.

Having to go through so many clicks to chart or select one thing. What healthcare provider has time for that?
