Finding a solution to our inventory tracking needs.

There are still somethings that could be implemented to better fit our business, but I am sure with time they will be available.

Inventory and parts/products are easy to access.

The accounting/integration process. Customer statements don’t accurately reflect their account status. Credits not included and can’t be applied per remittance.

Very detailed and user friendly! The features allow the users to utilize the program bases on needs.

Nothing comes to mind as a con! Just alot to learn but beneficial for the user.

Provide a full range of purchasing and inventory management tools for a reasonable price.

Support is fully remote and can be challenging for them to deeply understand our business.

What I liked most about fishbowl, was it is user-friendly and has a clean look

Not many negatives come to mind. The software itself has so much more potential than we currently use it for.

It serves the majority of our needs well for the size of our company.

Not user friendly for an Apple user. Some drop down menu gets hidden and Apple user is not able to select the options. We also can't manage inventory in our sales channels from Fishbowl which is a very big thing. Also the customer information management is lacking. Need to have company and also contact details separately and this needs to sync properly with Quickbooks.

Great customer service. Fast response time is appreciated. Nice being able to email sales orders and transfer orders.

Managing inventory in our sales channel has been a challenge due to the way Shopify reconciles returns/exchanges.

Ease of usage and ability to be flexible with our operations. We run custom electrical panels and this allows us to use the Bill of Materials module as a base, and add/delete parts in the Manufacturing module for the customs.

Some reports are not readily available and have to find work-arounds. Like annual part usage to date. I can't seem to find or modify a report that will tell me how many of a certain part I have used that is filtered by dates.

The ability to track by Serial numbers and shelf life

better accounting visability prior to uploads and more options for FIFO, little bit touchy and tough to troubleshoot some problems without support but overall very efficient and worth the money

It handles sales order entry well throughout the manufacturing and shipping process. It also handles the purchasing of parts from different vendors extremely well. The Bill of Materials handles multiple levels of assemblies within assemblies very well.

It has a lot of good pricing rules for all kinds of occasions. But it lacks last cost pricing for manufactured products.

Simple and straight forward. Easy to get data in and out of the system.

Lacking in features for manufacturing processes.

The inventory managment, BOM costing, and it's linking to QuickBooks.

Reporting - While it comes with many reports, none are practical to use in reconciling the general ledger to the inventory totals in Fishbowl.

***The Reporting department will build a customize report but "Buyer Beware". Your request is sent to a report writer to build and send the completed file to another employee who is your only contact. You are not allowed to talk to the report writer because "they are very busy". I've learned that "they are very busy" because they assume what is needed. I requested a simple report over 4 months ago, and after multiple rewrites, the report writer still doesn't understand what is needed. Instead, they blame me for not requesting the correct information.

The switch from BoxStorm to Fishbowl has been fairly seamless.

So far, the inventory valuation report is not able to filter by "tags" and the location.
The emailing PO option does not have a savable "standard" message.

Keeps inventory counts great. Real easy to use for the most part.

Can't back anything out if made mistake once it posts to QuickBooks.

I like its multiple functions.

It is also designed to be easily integrated with multiple platforms.

Upgrades. They are very frequent which makes the work difficult.

What I like most about Fishbowl is that it is easy and effective to use when doing my job.

There are really not any cons that I can think of from the years I have used Fishbowl.

Account manager SUCKS!!! When I told him your price increased 48% I wanna know what makes so much different of your service for this big rip-off. He said I confirm the price and signed the contract not like I didn't know!! I answered : if I did notice price different between $3000 to $4500 after 3 years I will be a very pissed off customer. You can't treat your customer like shit just because we didn't notice! He said : the contract signed......

Price increased like crazy!!! 48%. I am with Fish bowl more than 10 years, after this rip-off price increased I will not be their customer every again.

customer service was the best part. very direct and clear

aren't really any cons at this point. There are a few things on fishbowl client that are not that direct. example- when adjusting the inventory, there is no option to just adjust. You have to hit the "cycle" button. It's just getting used to the lingo of the software.

The support team is very knowledgeable and responsive!

I would love to customize reports on my own, make changes to the layouts, etc.
